What you’ll need

- ¼ cup Honey (1/3 if you want it more sweet)
- 1 tsp ginger
- Corn starch to thicken (use as desired)
Bad-ass Teriyaki Sauce Recipe For Chicken or Fish
First of all, have all of the ingredients ready. You will be adding them to your pan one after the other, so make sure you don’t have to go through the entire kitchen to find brown sugar while the sauce is over the heat.
Next, add all of the wet ingredients to a pan. While the mixture is heating up, stir in the dry ingredients as well (except for the corn starch). Keep stirring until it comes to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
At this point, add the corn starch mixed with cold water to your teriyaki sauce. The corn starch will start thickening almost immediately. When the teriyaki sauce reaches your desired consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool to room temperature. Keep in mind that the sauce will thicken more once it cools down, and you should take that into consideration before removing it from the heat.
Bottle the sauce, or use it immediately to baste your grilled chicken!
Enjoy!
