Grilled Jalapeno Bacon Shrimp (War Shrimp)

Prepare the jalapeno peppers by removing the stem, slicing across the length and removing the seeds.

Prepare the shrimp (preferably shell on jumbo shrimp) by peeling off the shell and “butterflying” each one. Then place a piece of pepper in the butterfly of the shrimp before wrapping with a strip of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.

Place the bacon wrapped shrimp on a grill preheated to 350°F. Grill over indirect heat for 8-10 minutes, turning once every 3-4 minutes. You can optionally glaze with your favorite BBQ sauce.
