This fig barbecue sauce is so easy to make, you won’t believe your taste buds when you try it! You only need very basic condiments (plus fig!) to make it, so it is definitely worth a try.
Fig Barbecue Sauce Ingredients
- 8 Figs (dry or fresh)
- ½ C Fig preserves
- 1½ C ketchup
- ¾ C apple cider vinegar
- 2 C brown sugar
- Salt & pepper

Melt a little bit of butter in a pot over a low flame. Prepare the figs by removing the stem and cutting them in half, then let them soften in the pot.
Pour in ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar. Stir to keep the sugar from burning, until it is completely molten. Add honey and stir it in.
Pour everything into a blender to get the figs broken down, then pour back into the pot, add salt and pepper and let it simmer for a little bit. Remember, you want a low flame to avoid getting the sugar scorched.
After a few minutes you can remove from the fire, enjoy with your favorite BBQ meat or bottle for future use!
