Easy Grilled Chicken Recipe (Cornell Chicken Recipe)
For the marinade you will need:
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tbsp Poultry seasoning
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 C Cider vinegar
- 1/2 C Canola oil
Whisk the ingredients together in a bowl. This will be enough to marinate and baste up to 2 halved chickens.
Put ⅔ C of the liquid aside for basting. Then place the halved chickens in food bags, and divide the rest of the marinade into the bags. Marinate in the fridge for 24 hours.
After the chicken is done marinating, set up your grill for indirect cooking. Place the chicken halves over indirect heat, and turn and baste every 5 minutes.
When internal temperature reaches 156-158°F, move the chicken to an oiled grate over direct heat. Keep turning frequently, and cook until internal temp hits 165°F.
Enjoy!
