The Ultimate Cheeseburger Recipe

This is truly one of the best cheeseburger recipe we’ve come across… So many layers of awesome, it will be hard to eat just one… or two… so plan on having at least 3+ of these mouth watering meaty morsels…

You will need:

  • Beef patty (used in video: chuck with a little bit of flank)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Danish Red hot sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)
  • Tomatoes
  • Freshly ground peppercorns
  • Salt
  • Hass avocado
  • Rosemary
  • Mustard
  • Monterey Jack cheese
  • Salsa Verde sauce (recipe)

The Ultimate Cheeseburger Recipe

Before we start grilling, let’s prepare the other components of this cheeseburger. Step one, the sauce.

In a small bowl mix 2 generous tablespoons of mayonnaise with some hot sauce (to preference). Slice one or two tomatoes into small cubes and mix them into the mayo. You should end up with a chunky sauce with a spicy kick.

Step two of this cheeseburger recipe: grind up the peppercorns. You can rub them between your hands to remove the shells, then grind using a mortar and pestle. Cut the avocado into thin slices.

Once all of your ingredients are ready (including the Salsa Verde- check the link below if you want to make your own), it’s time to fire up the grill!

Shape the meat into a patty, hit it with some salt and ground peppercorns and place it on your pit. After you flip it for the first time, apply a coating of mustard, using a bunch of rosemary as a brush (this will give another layer of flavor to the patty). When you flip again, repeat for the other side.

After the third flip, place a slice of Monterey Jack cheese on the patty. Cover it with an upside down bowl (make sure it’s not made of plastic, wood or any other material that will be ruined by the heat). The upside down bowl concentrates the heat on the upper side of the patty, allowing for a beautiful molten cheese.

While the cheese is melting, give the bottom and top buns a toast.

Cheeseburger, assemble! Lay down some Salsa Verde on the bottom bun, followed by the patty itself. Place some avocado slices on top, and finish with some of our hot, chunky mayonnaise sauce. Place the top bun and boom! You are now looking at the ULTIMATE cheeseburger!
