Burger King Whopper Recipe (Burger King Copycat)
The first thing you want to do (and this might seem counter-intuitive) is toast the buns. Why toast the buns in the beginning you ask? Simply because this burger recipe is very quick, you’ll want to assemble the Whopper as its components come hot off the grill.
Once the buns have a light toast on them, set them aside. Next up is the patty: 1/4 pound of ground chuck, seasoned only with sea or Kosher salt. Grill each side of the patty until it reaches your desired doneness.
Place the patty on the bottom bun, and immediately add 2 slices of American cheese on top. Let the cheese melt (faster if you cover the burger with an upside down bowl).
Top the patty with pickle slices, 3 rings of onion, ketchup, 2 tomato slices, and shredded lettuce. Spread some mayo on the top bun, and give it its rightful place…
Wow, this burger sure looks sexy! Simple and stylish, pure Americana.
