BLT Sushi Rolls – Bacon Wrapped Snack

You will need:

  • 10 Bacon slices
  • 2 Tbsp Mayo
  • 1 Cup Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 Cup Lettuce, shredded
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper, freshly ground

BLT Sushi Rolls – Bacon Wrapped Snack

You can make this beast of an appetizer both on your grill and in the oven. We strongly recommend you use your grill though- nothing can replace cooking over a real flame.

Start by making a 5×5 bacon weave. Since you need to transport this to and from the cooker, it’s best to make it directly on a Bradley rack.

Cook the bacon weave on the grill or in the oven at 400°F for 20 minutes. The goal is to get the bacon cooked, but still pliable, since we want to roll it up.

When ready, pull the bacon off the heat. Pat it dry with a paper towel to drain excess fat, then transfer to Saran wrap (for rolling).

Lay down some mayo, add a good amount of tomatoes (keep them on the bottom 1/3 for easier rolling) and lettuce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Roll it up, then slice.
