Bacon wrapped meatballs, stuffed with cheese… You know you are going to try these just by looking at the picture! And who can blame you, these beauties taste even more amazing than they look.
- 500gr minced meat
- 1 egg
- Crumbled rusk
- 20 mozarella salade balls
- 20 slices of bacon
- 2 tbsp BBQ dry rub
- BBQ Sauce
Bacon Wrapped Meatballs (Cheese Stuffed)
In a bowl, mix the egg, minced meat, crumbled rusk and dry rub until you have a smooth consistency.
Take bit of the minced meat and flatten it in your hand. Place a mozarella ball in the middle and form it into a ball about the size of a golf ball. Roll it in the palm of your hand until the surface becomes smooth and even. Finally, wrap a slice of bacon around the meatball.
Smoke the meatballs in the barbecue or in the oven at 350F or (180 Celsius). This should take about 15- 20 minutes, but keep an eye on the smoker at all times.
After 15-20 minutes, brush on some BBQ sauce and let it sit on the barbecue for another 5 minutes.
